Mecca Bingo is well known for their charity work and their figurehead Dave and all his charity work has been highly publicized. He has even been dubbed “Dave will do it”. Dave has taken part in some excellent charity events to help raise money for the children’s charity Whizz Kids which Mecca Bingo support. Last month Dave raised money for this charity by visiting a beauty salon and having his legs waxed. I can just imagine the pain he went through but it was all for a great cause so I’m sure he doesn’t mind.

Mecca Bingo supports the Whizz Kids charity which is a charity that is focused on helping to meet the needs of disabled children. They help these children by getting them mobile and helping them to enjoy an active childhood. Whizz Kids provides these children with wheelchairs and mobility equipment and they even offer continued support to children who need it. One of their many programs is a wheelchair skills training program for children up to the age of 18.

Mecca Bingo has raised a great deal of money for this charity over the years and through their charity bingo campaigns they have also helped to raise public awareness for this charity too. The staff members of Mecca Bingo have taken part in a number of great and enduring charity events to raise money for this charity and some of these events have included sky diving, special diets, and of course Dave had his legs waxed.

Dave who is the figurehead for Mecca Bingo has become really popular and according to sources his charity antics are set to get even more interesting throughout the rest of 2009. I bet Dave is wondering what they have in mind for him although his next Mecca Bingo duty is a fun one as he will be flying to Las Vegas where he will be meeting the lucky winner of the Win a Las Vegas Trip promotion that is being held by Mecca Bingo.

Dave really does have a very tough job as the face of Mecca Bingo especially when you take into account what he has to go through but as it is all in the name of Charity and he is raising cash for children I’m sure he really doesn’t mind.
