If you are a fan of Gala Bingo then you probably already know about their amazing game of bingo that they played on top of Mount Everest. If not then you are probably wondering what I am talking about. The Gala Bingo team have just climbed Mount Everest in aid of charity and to raise much needed funds for Sue Ryder Care. 25 members of Gala Bingo in total climbed the 17,500 feet for this charity event and to play the world’s highest ever bingo game. The great news is that they managed to raise more money than they set a target for and they also managed to create a world record too.
The Gala Bingo team braved the odds and the weather all in the name of charity and their goal target for this even was £100,000 which they passed. The Chief Executive of Sue Ryder Care, Paul Woodward stated that the Gala Team fundraising efforts were amazing and he expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in this amazing event. Their courage and bravery was fantastic and they should all be really proud of themselves. I couldn’t agree more with Mr. Woodward and I think everyone that took part is amazing. The money that has been raised will go to help support the work that the Sue Ryder Care does and they help so many people that live with debilitating conditions such as Cancer, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and brain injuries.
The Gala Bingo Team have done really well and it is no wonder that they are proud of their achievements and they have also set a world record too. The money that has been raised will do a lot of great work and the funds are really appreciated.
